Wedbush Securities is Hiring a HR Onboarding Coordinator Near Los Angeles, CA

Job Description:

Headquartered in Los Angeles, California with over 100 offices and more than 80 correspondent offices, our commitment to providing relentless, customized service is the foundation of our consistent growth. Our Human Resources department is seeking an Onboarding Coordinator to assist with the full-cycle new hire onboarding process. This is a hybrid role located in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure high quality of new hire onboarding life-cycle process by acting as main point of contact for newly hired employees
  • Order background checks, track completion and assist in review and analysis of results
  • Order pre-clearance reports for registered representatives
  • Act as point of contact for collection of pre-employment documents and contracts and obtain proper signatures on upfront loans
  • Perform onboarding data entry into Ultipro and Excel new hire spreadsheet in a timely manner to ensure all necessary pre-employment documents are completed and accurate
  • Connect with managers to assist with onboarding, orientation, IT requisition, and supply orders
  • Conduct new hire orientation for new colleagues, college internship program, and rotational entry-level program; conduct facility tours when necessary
  • Prepare and send welcome materials to all new hires
  • Compile, maintain and audit employee folders to ensure new hire compliance
  • Enroll and manage records for new hire training
  • Create and prepare onboarding and recruiting reports and policies, including management committee reporting
  • Update all onboarding and recruiting forms to be compliant with state and federal laws
  • Participate in on-campus recruiting events, including attending all career fairs where light travel is required
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited university required, preferably with an emphasis in Human Resources, Communication, or similar focus preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in HR, recruiting or onboarding capacity required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, preferable in Excel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across various levels and departments
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency
  • Extremely organized, strong project management skills, and ability to meet release dates and deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy at a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to prioritize daily work flow with little direction
  • Experience working with Ultipro (UKG) highly desirable
