WCTS is seeking a Technical Writer for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) to prepare, edit, finalize, circulate, and track enterprise level correspondence for OSDBU executive leadership. They will provide an elite level of writing ability for preparing and processing enterprise level correspondence in accordance with guidelines established by the Office of the Executive Secretariat and adhere to Plain Writing Act guidelines, the elements of style, as well as all laws concerning the release of personal or confidential information in correspondence.
This contract is contingent upon award.
If awarded, the beginning of employment will be March 27, 2024.
This is a 5-year possible contract award (2024-2028).
Travel: Less than 15%.
Hours: 7am – 5:30pm, full-time work
Location: Washington, DC; Remote is possible at customer discretion

Job Description:
Proofread all enterprise level correspondence for OSDBU executive leadership.
Check correspondence for formatting, spelling, grammar, and punctuation; avoid the use of VA jargon or vague words and phrases.
Research the subject matter of all enterprise level correspondence for OSDBU executive leadership.
Prepare, edit, finalize, circulate, and track responses to Congressional inquiries, Office of the Secretary correspondence, memoranda, letters, and special categories of correspondences (e.g., responses to Congressionally mandated reports, U.S. Government Accountability Office reports, Office of the Inspector General reports, Federal Register notices).
Monitor incoming inquiries through VA's correspondence management system, the VA Integrated Enterprise Workflow Solution (VIEWS), and for tracking timely completion and resolution of correspondence assignments through the OSDBU Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Provide research and supporting documentation in the preparation of all OSDBU executive leadership communications content.
