As Technical Writer, you'll play a crucial role in translating complex technical information into clear and concise documentation. Your primary responsibility will be to create user guides, manuals, and technical documentation that enable end-users, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to effectively understand and utilize our products and services. You'll also be responsible for developing and documenting new or existing processes and workflows executed by the members of the team.

What you'll do:

• You will serve as principal Technical Writer within the Operations and Engineering division.
• You will create and standardize the knowledge articles in the ServiceNow knowledge base.
• Initially, you'll work on the discovery and scope for each division followed by the documentation process, and succeeded with the development of a sustainable framework for the information lifecycle.
• You will accept new article requests through a managed template to ensure information is received in a standardized manner.
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams to obtain feedback, incorporate changes into documentation as needed, and manage documentation projects, including version control, updates, and maintenance.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
• An active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
• 5-7 years of proven experience as an IT Technical Writer with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse technical documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and present them clearly and concisely.
• Familiarity with IT terminology, ITSM (IT service management) framework and tools (ServiceNow, Atlassian), software development processes, and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with subject matter experts, developers, and other team members to gather information and understand technical concepts.
• Create comprehensive and user-friendly documentation for software applications, systems, and IT processes.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all technical documentation produced.
