WCTS is Hiring a Curriculum Developer - NAVELSG N7 Near williamsburg, VA

Worldwide Counter Threat Solutions (WCTS) an award-winning contracting firm, is recruiting for an exceptional Curriculum Developer who will support Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group's (NAVELSG) N7 department in developing a curriculum for courses that will cover cargo transport, loading, reloading, and handling – to include fuel and explosives – while at dock and on expeditions. 

Positions Contingent Upon Contract Award and Government acceptance of candidate’s resume. 

Start Date: July 1, 2024 

Location: Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, Cheatham Annex, and Williamsburg, VA 
Travel:  Able to travel CONUS and occasional OCONUS 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide curriculum development and maintenance support for the following training courses:

    • Shipboard Cargo Handling
    • Advanced Shipboard Cargo
    • Basic Air Cargo
    • Air Load Planning/Embark
    • Expeditionary Tactical Fuels
    • Expeditionary Fuels Quality Assurance
    • Explosive Driver 
    • Explosive MHE
    • Expeditionary Cargo Operations
    • Expeditionary Reload Team Academy
    • Ammunition Fleet Sentencing
    • Tent Camp Fundamentals
    • Power Distribution
    • Water Purification
    • Chemical, Biological, Radiological Defense (CBRD) 
  • Perform curriculum reviews of courses for relevance and provide recommendations for updating course curriculum and instructional materials.

  • Perform Navy Mission Essential Task List (NMETL) reviews for relevance and provide recommendations for updating based on current validated mission requirements. 

  • Liaise with NAVELSG N7 Learning Standards Officer to develop cogent course revision schedule and provide recommendations on such to NAVELSG N7 leadership.

  • Serve as an “observer” during Unit Level Training Readiness Assessment (ULTRA) events with NAVELSG N7 Unit Readiness and Assessments to ensure courses are in line with OFRP readiness training and assessment objectives and provide input to ULTRA Master Sequence of Events List (MSEL) to ensure correct alignment of course training materials.

  • Develop new and update existing curriculum using the Plan, Analyze, Design and Develop, Implement and Evaluate (PADDIE) model in AIM II and/or the Job/Duty Task Analysis (JDTA) model in CPM/LOM. 

  • As required, provide support to the Mobile Training Team (MTT) to review subordinate units conduct analysis and provide some fundamental system training. Other duties

Requirements: 

  • Active Secret clearance 

  • Minimum of two (2) years within the last seven (7) years with direct support of the Department of the Navy training Program. 

  • Resumes must show experience with Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) toolsets to include Content Planning Module (CPM) and Learning Objective (LO) Module. 

  • Graduate of a certified Navy Instructor Training Course (NEC 9502, 9501, or 9518) or equivalent (Completion) of a civilian (or commercial) formal course of instruction, which has been evaluated and certified as a JIT/NITC equivalency by the Center for Professional Development (CPPD). 

  • Meet and maintain eligibility for high-risk training instructors, as delineated in COMNAVELSGINST 1500.1 series and supporting references. 

  • Shall meet Navy High-Risk Training requirements as outlined in OPNAVINST 1500.75 series. To include climbing up in a crane and going topside on a ship. 

  • Possess valid CPR/AED certification. 

  • Provide proof of recent (within three (3) years) first aid certification. 

  • Proficient in MS Office, including MS Teams, MS Word, MS Excel and Power Point. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Beneficial Knowledge and Skills: 

  • A college degree from an accredited school in education, instructional design, curriculum and instruction, educational technology, or a related field. 

Physical Demands: The following physical demands are typical of the position: 

  • Moderate physical activity required. 

  • Requires handling of items up to 50 pounds. 

  • Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight hours per day and be able to change positions including sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting. 

  • May require use of ladder wells aboard ship or ship “mockup.” 

U.S. Citizenship: All contractor personnel performing under this task order shall be U.S. citizens.
