Position Purpose: Add depth to the management team by assisting the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of all facets of the operation and serving as acting manager in the Branch Manager’s absence. Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities: Primary responsibility for branch safety compliance including regular walk-through safety checks with Warehouse Manager and reporting. Run and analyze daily/monthly branch/region/corporate reports, communicating exceptions to the Branch Manager. Administer/monitor associate work schedules to ensure adequate coverage in all teams. Proactively identify, address and fix problems. Gain and maintain a working knowledge of all branch jobs to be able to fill in for absences and vacations. Ensure efficient and effective inter-department workflow, communication, and coordination. Participate in/lead various projects to support growth and improve customer service, efficiency, workflow, systems, etc. Provide service and support to customers as needed. Career Level Dimensions Typical Training/Experience Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7 years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines. Problem Complexity Solutions require analysis and investigation. Autonomy Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. Leadership Provides leadership in the absence of the Branch Manager. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and 5 years of industry sales experience. 2 years experience with the area customer base. Product knowledge.
