As a Prep Cook at Waterfront, you are the unsung hero behind the scenes, essential to the success of our culinary operation. Your responsibilities include:
• Food Preparation: Expertly and precisely prepare ingredients, including chopping, slicing, dicing, and marinating, ensuring they meet the highest quality and freshness standards.
• Kitchen Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen, with a focus on efficient use of space and ingredients.
• Recipe Adherence: Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in all prepared items.
• Timely Preparation: Work in advance to ensure that all necessary ingredients are ready for the line cooks and kitchen staff to maintain a smooth service flow.
• Equipment Care: Keep kitchen equipment, tools, and utensils clean and in good working condition, reporting any issues to the chef or management.
• Quality Control: Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality, and work with kitchen staff to ensure all food items meet presentation standards.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with line cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure they have what they need to execute dishes efficiently.
• Safety and Hygiene: Strictly adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring a safe and clean kitchen environment.
