POSITION DESCRIPTION: Family Ministry Admin, serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Family Ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Practical field experience in office tasks and responsibilities
Well organized and able to handle a variety of details
Ability to work with people of all ages
Ability to recruit, equip and encourage volunteers assisting with office tasks
Responsive to and supportive of the Ministry to Children and Students
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration
Attendance at ministry leaders’ meetings, planning retreats, etc.
Attendance at all staff meetings and huddles
Meet weekly with supervising staff (department directors serving birth through death and support admin) for check-ins, development, and staff meetings
Office availability during office hours
Manage phone calls and provide WardKids and WardStudents ministry information.
Manage registrations for WardKids and WardStudents ministry events.
Purchase supplies for WardKids and WardStudents ministry events and Resource Centers.
Maintain financial records for the department.
Coordinate departmental projects and emphases (mailings, newsletters, training materials, MP, eSpace, etc.).
Be available to assist with WardKids and WardStudents ministry meetings and events as needed.
Assist the Director of Family Ministry with administrative responsibilities.
Regularly attend Ward Church worship services.

Maintain an active and engaged team relationship with church staff
Demonstrate character-based leadership with both paid and volunteer staff

Attend monthly Family Ministry staff meetings
Attend weekly church staff meetings
