We are currently seeking an experienced full-time **Technical Service Advisor** for our Ultra Optics Division located in **Brooklyn Park, MN**. Ultra Optics is the industry leader in premier quality coatings and the equipment used to apply scratch-resistant coating to ophthalmic lenses. **Job Summary:**

Responsible for scheduling delivery for installation and on-site training for new machinery purchases; On-site field service repairs; Troubleshooting in support of customers via phone and e-mail; Schedule travel for installation, training and on-site customer repairs; Responsible for new equipment validation, repair and reconditioning of used equipment; Assist with shipping and other in-shop activities, including manufacturing, as time permits.

Position Responsibilities:

* Understand all aspects of machinery design and operation for mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.

* Understand the chemistry application process and interactions for Ultra Optics Coating solutions.

* Telephone and on-site field service work to support our products to include the delivery, installation, trouble shooting and repair of equipment.

* Prepare equipment for customer use and assure proper operation of equipment by performing test procedures.

* Repair and recondition used equipment and perform other shop activities including manufacturing.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

* High School diploma, GED or equivalent.

* Excellent aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

* Experience and knowledge of ophthalmic lab operations preferred.

* Strong communications skills required...A positive attitude with focus on customer satisfaction is a must.

* Position requires regularly scheduled and unscheduled trips, which may include International travel.

* Must possess and maintain a valid passport and driver's license, with insurable driving record that complies with the Walman Optical Co. Motor Vehicle Policy.

* Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
