Waldorf School of New Orleans is Hiring a Director of Finance and Human Resources Near Orleans, LA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Finance and Human Resources to join our team. As the Director of Finance and Human Resources, you will be responsible for overseeing our school's financial health and all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in school Finance and HR management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of strong administrative capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
The Finance & Human Resources Director reports to the Administrative Director and, working with the Finance Committee, manages all financial resources in support of the school, students, and employees. The Director is responsible for daily book keeping, financial planning, accounting, and reporting of income, expenses, contributions and invested funds of the school. The Director provides full, accurate, and complete financial information as necessary to assist the Board in meeting its fiduciary responsibilities.

The Finance & Human Resources Director has administrative responsibility for Human Resources, including recruitment, coordination of hiring and termination processes in collaboration with the Hiring and Retention Committee, employee records, employee benefits, and support for employee issues.

The Finance & Human Resources Director is responsible for tuition management including the creation of tuition billing contracts, accurate invoicing, and compassionate collection of payment. This position oversees the Tuition Adjustment Program (TAP) and Kennedy- Brown Scholarship and helps guide families through the tuition adjustment and scholarship application process.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 5 years of progressive experience in Finance and HR management roles

- Strong knowledge of school finance policies and processes
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, employment laws and regulations
- Excellent leadership skills, professionalism skills, and customer service skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
