ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process invoices from vendors accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to verify the accuracy of charges and quantities.
Obtain necessary approvals for invoices and resolve discrepancies or issues with vendors as needed.
Code invoices with appropriate general ledger account codes and cost centers for proper classification and tracking.
Prepare and process electronic payments, including ACH transfers, wire transfers, and checks, in a timely manner.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding balances.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and tax identification numbers.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.
Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment status, invoice details, and other accounts payable-related matters.
Monitor accounts payable aging reports and prioritize payments to ensure timely settlement of outstanding balances.
Assist in the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.
Adhere to internal controls and compliance requirements to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
Provide support and assistance to other members of the finance team as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience (2-3 years) working in accounts receivable or related finance roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with accounting software.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
