Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary

The AR/AP Clerk records the accounting transactions associated with accounts receivable and accounts payable. Primary responsibilities include generating and issuing invoices to Customers and ensuring correct pricing, routing, and payment terms. The candidate will serve as a liaison between and its customers and will work closely with the Operations team to communicate supporting data needed for correct invoicing. The AR/AP Clerk will also perform Accounts Payable duties, including vendor interface, proper coding/routing of vendor invoices, and other administrative duties.

Essential Functions

• Full-cycle weekly/bi-weekly/monthly billings process. From setup, reconciliation, and sending invoices to internal/external Clients to collections.
• Ensure setup of billing processes to meet contractual obligations.
• Research source documents and prepare simple accounting reports.
• Reply to assigned queries correctly, and efficiently and communicate on time.
• Develop and keep positive working relationships with departments, Project Managers, and internal/external clients.
• Maintains and manages Accounts Payable inbox.
• Codes vendor invoices to correct cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.
• Perform general office activities such as operating office equipment, processing mail, or securing confidential materials.
• Ensure proper documentation of all business processes by sorting and/or classifying information according to enterprise record retention guidelines.
• Obtains and enters W9 for Annual 1099-Misc. reporting.
• Complete special projects as assigned by management.

Education

• High school diploma needed.
• Secondary education preferred. Added education in finance or accounting is a plus.

Experience

• 5 years of experience in accounts receivable/accounts payable roles
• Strong diligence and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and people skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,000.00 - $48,000.00 per hour
