Position Summary: As a Reservation Sales Agent at Savannah Harbor Cruises, your primary responsibility will be to handle and process reservations for our cruise services. You will work closely with customers, both in person and over the phone, to assist them in booking their desired cruise experiences. In addition to a base salary, you will also receive commission based on the number of fulfilled bookings you generate.

Key Responsibilities:

Reservation Management: Receive and process reservations from customers who visit our location or contact us via telephone. Gather all necessary information to complete the booking accurately, including the number of guests, preferred cruise date, special requests, and any additional services or upgrades required.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to customers' inquiries and requests. Answer questions about cruise itineraries, amenities, and pricing options, ensuring customers have a thorough understanding of their chosen cruise experience.

Sales Generation: Promote and upsell additional services, upgrades, and packages to maximize revenue and enhance the customer's overall cruise experience. Utilize persuasive techniques and product knowledge to effectively communicate the value of these offerings.

Reservation System Operation: Utilize our reservation software and systems to input customer data accurately, process payments, and generate booking confirmations. Ensure all customer information is recorded correctly and securely.

Follow-Up Communication: Maintain regular contact with customers to confirm reservations, provide necessary pre-cruise information, and address any concerns or questions they may have. Assist with rescheduling or canceling reservations as needed.

Product Knowledge: Stay updated on current cruise itineraries, onboard amenities, pricing structures, and promotional offers to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers. Attend training sessions and familiarize yourself with the features and benefits of our cruise offerings.

Sales Reporting: Keep track of your sales performance and provide regular reports to management regarding reservations made, commission earned, and any other relevant metrics.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Strong persuasive and negotiation abilities to maximize sales opportunities.
• Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using reservation systems, databases, and other relevant software.
• Basic knowledge of cruise itineraries, destinations, and onboard services.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing reservations and customer information.
• Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the cruise industry.
• Must be able to work outside in the shade as the kiosk is located directly on River Street.
• Must be able to commute or provide own transportation and parking too and from work.
