Job Title: Onsite IT Support Specialist

Location: Broward County, Florida

Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Onsite IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team at a local college in Broward County. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and assistance to faculty, staff, and students while ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and services. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and peripherals.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of classroom technology, including audiovisual equipment and learning management systems.
• Collaborate with the IT team to resolve escalated technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Perform software updates, patches, and upgrades as needed.
• Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to support IT processes and procedures.
• Maintain inventory records of IT equipment and supplies.
• Assist in IT projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience in technical support or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.

Must-Have Experience:

• Working experience with Ellucian or Workday in an education environment is required.
• Familiarity with student information systems and ERP software is highly desirable.
