Position Summary: The Badging Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in the PSC/ISBS Credentialing program, managing enrollment, issuance, and maintenance of PIV cards and fingerprint cards. Responsibilities include processing service requests, troubleshooting badge functionality, and ensuring compliance with federal policies. Candidates must possess practical keyboarding skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and experience with federal badging procedures. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with customers effectively are essential. The Specialist maintains professionalism, adheres to policies, and seeks guidance when needed. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to respond promptly to urgent cases are key. Overall, the Specialist contributes to program efficiency, security, and exceptional customer service.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Support the PSC/ISBS Credentialing program by managing enrollment, printing, issuance, and shipment of fingerprint cards and PIV cards.
• Provide operational support for critical initiatives such as processing service requests and conducting I-9 document reviews.
• Manage email resource inbox, appointment scheduling, account corrections, troubleshooting, and limited granting of physical access to HHS space.
• Review requests and applications for PIV cards and related services.
• Assist applicants, contractors, and current employees with issues related to PIV card functionality.
• Provide status updates on badges and related inquiries.
• Implement identity verification and badging processes in accordance with HSPD-12.
• Activate various types of PIV-compliant cards, including RLA badges, ALT cards, and related access tokens.
• Perform administrative functions associated with federal badging and credentialing work, including database tracking, resource inbox communications, customer engagement, appointment scheduling, help desk inquiries, and email and physical mail correspondence.
• Perform certificate updates, PIN resets, and card update activities.
• Troubleshoot customer accounts to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
• Adhere strictly to policies and seek guidance from senior team members when faced with complex scenarios.
• Assist with identity verification through video conference interfaces for the SRIP process.
• Assist with reporting and data calls associated with credentialing processes.

Required Skills:

• Proficient keyboarding skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge and experience with enrolling, fingerprinting, and issuing HSPD-12 PIV cards or DoD CAC.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for PIVs, CACs, and applicant accounts.
• Familiarity with federal personnel security policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 4 clearance.
• A willingness to travel occasionally as required.
• Proficiency in tracking work performance using Excel.
• Comfortable with public speaking.
• Ability to respond quickly to urgent cases.
• Proficient in navigating and tracking multiple systems simultaneously.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changes on short notice.

Education and Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
• Prior Experience with Federal Government
