Business Development Representative – Utah Disaster Kleenup
Utah Disaster Kleenup, (UDK) is a provider of property restoration and disaster cleanup services. These services are provided to homeowners and business owners who have experienced a property loss such as fire, flooding, or and environmental issue like mold or asbestos. We have become a household name along the Wasatch Front for 50 years.
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Business Development Representative (BD Rep) that will help the company achieve growth in the commercial and residential property management sector. The target audience for this role, will be property managers, facility managers, fire authorities, insurance professionals, and other individuals that oversee the hiring of property restoration firms on a frequent basis. The ideal candidate will have account management and sales experience in a similar service industry. The sales territory for this position is Salt Lake County, Davis County and Weber County.
Responsibilities for this role:

Identify potential clients that will generate calls for property restoration services.

  • Create business development opportunities through effective cold call methods.
  • Establish service level agreements and approved vendor status with commercial property clients.
  • Continually build upon and maintain relationships for established accounts in the territory.
  • Represent the company at various events, luncheons, trade associations.
  • At times, act as a liaison between UDK’s project management team and the client.
  • This position requires a 40–50-hour work week, Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM. At times, covering events on evenings and weekends with minimal out of area travel throughout the year for conferences.
Experience and Traits needed for this role:
  • Experience in sales including lead generation, prospecting, and closing deals.
  • Skilled at building and leveraging a network of contacts within the industry.
  • Proficiency with CRM software to track and manage client interactions and sales.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information timely and effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • This includes the ability to listen and tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Strong aptitude for building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally.
  • Self-motivated to seek new business development opportunities without constant direction.
  • Resilient and persistent with the ability to handle rejection while maintaining enthusiasm in a field where many relationships never result in a sale.
  • Effective in time-management to balance prospecting, meetings, follow-ups, and CRM data input.
  • Must have empathy, patience, and a personable demeanor.
  • Maintain high ethical standards, honesty, transparency, and professionalism in all dealings.
  • Hard working and does not shy away from the types of work environments that exist in property restoration.
Requirements:
  • Must have a reliable vehicle. This position requires a great deal of daily driving in Salt Lake County, Davis County and Weber County.
  • Vehicle reimbursement allowance of $500 a month is provided, along with a fuel card.
    • Will be required to submit a monthly mileage report.
Compensation:
  • Annual base of $60,000 Commission on account revenue generated.
    • 1% Commission on sales is based on sales revenue from accounts.
      • Current BD Rep commission range: $5,000 - $30,000 annually.

Pre-employment requirements:
The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires employment eligibility certification for all employees. All job offers are contingent upon completion of the I-9 verification process. New hires are subject to background checks, including references and history of criminal convictions and DUI’s.
