As the Laborer,:
Must be able to climb ladders, work off manlifts or scaffolding to clean high and hard to reach places. Must be able to stay on their feet for long periods of time and be able to work from standing, bending, kneeling and awkward positions. The incumbent is required to frequently lift, move, and place light to moderately heavy objects such as commercial equipment, furniture, boxes, and operate cleaning equipment. Employees are required to lift weight up to eighty (80) pounds or more. The incumbent should always employ proper lifting techniques to avoid personal injury and/or property damage.
The incumbent must be able to wear personal protective equipment in all kinds of weather, as may be required by OSHA, cleaning chemical Safety Data Sheet directions, state laws, or the NGA’s safety policies. The following equipment may be worn safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, and hard hats.

Work is performed throughout the NGA Campus. Work is usually performed indoors. Areas include but are not limited to, offices, art galleries, public spaces, locker rooms, break rooms, restrooms, and staff spaces. On occasion employee may be exposed to noisy, drafty, dusty, and dirty areas. In addition, they may be exposed to cleaning chemicals and related chemical vapors.
Work is occasionally performed outside in all kinds of weather, (heat, cold, sun, wind, rain, and snow), and environmental pollutants (carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, dust, pollen, soil, and other airborne particulate matter) may exist at times in varying levels of potential hazard.
