University of Texas at El Paso is Hiring a Project Manager Near El Paso, TX

Under general supervision, performs complex project management work to include coordinating the planning and initiation of projects at various levels of completion; monitors progress and schedule of projects related to institutional and programmatic accreditation. Communicates with project stakeholders, management, and other relevant parties.

Essential Functions

With guidance from the Vice Provost for Curriculum Effectiveness and Improvement and the Director of Assessment and Evaluation, develop timelines and project plans for faculty and staff involved in the reaffirmation of institutional accreditation, leveraging project management tools to provide status reports on due dates and milestones to senior leadership.

The Project Manager will engage in professional development pertaining to accreditation standards and expectations, maintaining currency of knowledge related to standards and best practices.

The Project Manager will support the Provost’s office in the collection, preparation, analysis, and review of qualitative and quantitative data submitted by multiple offices. The project manager will review submissions for thoroughness and responsiveness.
The Project Manager will be responsible for day-to-day coordination of activities, supporting the work of the Vice Provosts, Directors, and relevant professional staff, including tracking timelines and data, ensuring regular meetings of key personnel.

The Project Manager will develop strategies to communicate with relevant stakeholders in the accreditation process throughout the university, both those who are providing data and those who are writing, reviewing, and finalizing narratives.

The Project Manager will manage trainings on accreditation and assessment software tools, provide support in administration of the tools, and collaborate with Provost’s staff on any needed updates or improvements.

The Project Manager will collaborate with Provost’s Office staff and other staff across the University to facilitate accreditation visits and reviews.

As needed, the Project Manager will also support programmatic accreditation efforts in the colleges.

Complies with all State and University policies.

Other duties may be assigned.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's objectives, policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree

and

Experience: Four years of experience related to the statement of duties and responsibilities, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some traveling required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree preferred.

Experience with accreditation or quality assurance or similar process.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to the diverse culture of the assessment and accreditation environment.

Strong time management and organizational skills, and a proven track record in tracking and presenting data and timelines, knowledge of project management tools, writing reports, and bringing people together to work as a team.

Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.
