The University of Texas at El Paso invites applications for the position of Lecturer with a specialization in Chicano Fine Arts. The successful candidate will teach five Chicano Studies courses with a focus on Chicano Fine Arts Appreciation, Chicano Cinema, and/or Chicano Music. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will participate in support activities for the Chicano Studies program. Responsibilities include preparing and teaching the courses listed above, holding regularly scheduled office hours, attending faculty meetings, attending training sessions, developing and contributing materials to the program, and engaging in Chicano Studies program activities.


Job Requirements:

  • A Master's of Fine Arts degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least five years combined experience teaching and professional art practices.

Full time - Work schedule, hourly rate, and benefits to be established by the hiring department.
