The Office of the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs is responsible for a variety of student-facing functions with a focus on student retention, including the record-keeping and communication regarding academic probation, suspension, and reinstatement; documentation for excused absences from classes; outreach and advising of students in need of academic support; coordination and planning for seminars and meetings; and other functions. This position requires excellent communication skills with students, faculty, staff, and parents, as well as correspondence by mail, email, and phone. Good writing and proofing skills are important.
Performs administrative assistant support work of moderate complexity.
Essential FunctionsMust be able to assist students in a wide variety of situations and work in a timely and accurate fashion.
Physical EffortMinimal physical effort is required. Mostly sedentary.
