Position Summary | This position will be located at the UNM Prevention Research Center (PRC) and will be part of a multi-disciplinary group of researchers who are conducting a range of studies designed to inform the field of health promotion and disease prevention. Working with existing principal investigators at the PRC to design, execute, and coordinate multiple research studies and implement public health surveillance, the Senior Research Scientist 2 will provide technical leadership as well as oversee work of collaborators including students, programmers, and other project staff. This position will have a leadership role in submitting grant proposals, designing research studies, executing research, surveillance, and evaluation projects, submitting journal articles, and meeting administrative requirements of funded grants. The Senior Research Scientist 2 is expected to be familiar with cost-benefit and related analyses, health services research, advanced statistical and econometric techniques, project management, and analyzing data from multiple sources including administrative data. Minimum Qualifications | Master's degree; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
