Job Description Summary:
Directly support the daily administrative functions of the Liver Center and Kansas Center for Metabolism and Obesity Research (KC-MORE), including scheduling and sending correspondence on behalf of the administrator and/or department. Prepares project and grant budgets for use in planning, policy making, and program evaluation. Compiles information, prepares reports, and is involved in implementing departmental policies.

Job Duties:
Central point of contact Liver Center research offices, 4th Floor Hemenway
Staff central phone line for Liver Center research teams
Support research office spaces
Distribute faxes and mail
Submit orders for IT, facilities, housekeeping
Liaise between research staff and KUMC cores
Perform supply purchasing in Workday for labs, offices, and new hires
Maintain monthly billing for FedEx, study visits and documents appropriate fees. Responsible for processing payments, reimbursements, invoices, hardware and software licenses, as well as outside vendor services and contracts
Manage divisional research distribution groups, invites, and send out communications to various teams (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Blackboard) including monthly Pulmonary PI meetings.
Organize and update faculty CVs, lab certifications, training docs and maintain R and P drives as needed
Organize research conferences and assist in research/clinical/student Training Programs as needed
Manage Liver Center calendars including study visit, conference rooms, and team calendars as needed
Create and run data reports for grant deliverables and other reports as requested and work with the IMRO financial oversight team
Create spreadsheets, presentations, and administrative forms utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Perform other projects as assigned
