At UConn Health, the Neuroscience Department in the School of Medicine seeks to fill a Special Payroll Research Assistant position. The successful candidate will work on a project focused on studying skeletal growth and development using mouse models and cell culture systems.

Examples of Duties:
Harvesting tissues for primary cell cultures
Cell culture growth and differentiation assays
Assisting the PI and lab staff with histology and molecular biology experiments, data analysis and general lab management
Â
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or related area of study
Basic laboratory instrumentation skills
Maintains a high degree of organization, accuracy and attention to details
Good communication skills both orally and written
Ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret data.

Preferred Qualification:
Prior experience in cell culture and knowledge of sterile techniques
Â
Schedule: 40 hours per week, days and time to be determine

Hourly Rate: $15.00
