Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Development will work closely with faculty physicians and scientists as well as development officer colleagues to advance fundraising efforts for dynamic programs within the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, Women's Health, and other areas. This will include securing gifts at the $5,000 to $100,000 level from grateful patients and community members for innovative clinical and research initiatives, critical patient support services, and unrestricted program funds.

  • Engaging donors and prospective donors through personal meetings and events.

Within the first three months, you will begin establishing relationships with program leaders, clinical and lab-based faculty, and internal UDAR colleagues. You will learn about program priorities and development opportunities, familiarize yourself with the donor portfolio, meet key internal stakeholders and partners, and start contributing to the planning and execution of fundraising efforts.
After three months, you will engage donors inside and outside your portfolio while guiding the direction and implementation of fundraising efforts to enhance the donor pipeline.
