University of California, Irvine is Hiring an Administrative Officer Near Orange, CA

Under the general direction of the Department Administrator, the incumbent provides a wide range of administrative and analytical functions including data collection, problem analysis and resolution, system analysis in support of the Chair and CAO in the Department of Radiological Sciences. The incumbent will oversee the daily and long-range activities for the Chair and must use independent judgement in handling sensitive and confidential executive-level correspondence and agreements. Provides analysis and acts as a partner with the Chief Administrative Officer and Operations Manager. Designs, creates and maintains databases and other tools for a variety of complex and highly sensitive and confidential projects and assignments.

$30.44 - $38.13 (Hourly Rate) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $30.44 - $48.86 (Hourly Rate)


Required:

Minimum 2-4 years of administrative support experience. Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Excellent organizational skills. Solid verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. Experienced in computer skill/abilities to prepare works using Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher). Demonstrated skill in analyzing information, problems, situations, practices and procedures to define the problem or objective; identify relevant concerns or factors; identify patterns, tendencies and relationships; formulate logical and objective conclusions; recognize alternatives and their implications. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with campus administrators, faculty, staff and students from a variety of ethnic, social and educational backgrounds and to provide information, identify problems and develop solutions. Demonstrated experience working with confidential information and using sensitivity, tact and discretion in internal and external communications. Demonstrated skill to assess priorities in order to complete work in a timely manner in an environment of deadline constraints, competing priorities and heavy and changing workload.

Knowledge of University or Health organizational structure, policies and procedures, and protocols related to academic unit administration. Familiarity with University administrative organization, policies, procedures, and practices. Working experience in a college/university setting, supporting academic departments, faculty, and students.
