The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Program and Events Manager.
Applications will be accepted until 9/26/2023.
The Program and Events Manager for Mendoza Enrollment will serve as the lead planner for all events hosted by the Mendoza Graduate Enrollment team in an effort to successfully recruit and seat nearly 730 students each academic year. This position has a high level of student/client/faculty interaction that requires strong customer service skills to deliver high-quality programming for which the Notre Dame brand is widely known. This work involves complex scheduling, production, and quality control processes in a fast-paced work environment. This position requires a high level of project management and problem-solving skills, the ability to multi-task, and pay close attention to detail.
The Program and Events Manager for Mendoza Enrollment will be responsible for planning
large and small-scale events that range from 1 to 300 participants. Examples of events will consist of virtual information sessions, individual class visits or tours, on-campus signature events, and off-campus regional or national recruiting and yield events.
This position not only works closely with the Mendoza Enrollment team to deliver high-quality engagement opportunities for prospective Mendoza graduate students; it also contributes to
the overall success of the college's recruitment and yield efforts through partnering with the broader Enrollment team. The Program and Events Manager, Enrollment, is a member of the Mendoza College of Business staff team and will be called upon during peak times to contribute toward the efforts of other teams in the College.
Some nights and weekends during peak times of the recruiting cycle will be required to support program needs.
Some domestic or international travel may be required based on the complexity of off-campus events being coordinated by this role.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree with 3 to 4 years of experience in event management planning
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain several timelines with competing deadlines
  • Strong project management skills/experience
  • Customer service oriented individual
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience planning events in higher education or academic setting
  • Educational background in hospitality, tourism, or event management
  • Familiarity with University of Notre Dame administrative and financial policies, practices, and procedures
