The position of Strategic Player Development Program Manager within the Women's Basketball Program will serve as a resource for current student-athletes as they seek assistance with personal development, including services offered via the GLD and Career Centers, the Name, Image, Likeness and Ideas staff, and personal brand building. Additionally, this individual will assist the coaching staff with the process of game scheduling, including schedule approval, game contracts, and class miss requests. This position will provide support specifically to the Head Coach, scheduling engagements, ensuring her calendar is up-to-date, managing ticket allotments, and handling travel and expense reports. This individual will also assist the Head Coach in all aspects of communication and planning for major events and appearances.
Main responsibilities of this role include:
  • Student-Athlete Development Services: On-campus liaison for women's basketball student-athlete needs such as compliance, residence life, housing issues, and GLD Center and Career Services. Will serve as a social mentor to student-athletes including guidance on college life issues, social issues, and adjustment needs. Will develop and schedule career planning enrichment opportunities for student-athletes and execute all steps of such programs.
  • Provide Coaching Support: Provide support to Associate Head Coach for game scheduling process. Provide support to the Head Coach for all aspects of her calendar, daily schedule, ticket allotments, expense reports and reimbursements, travel, public engagement, and attendance at events. Often proactively conveying the ideas and vision of the Head Coach to the Program and those that support it. Assist Head Coach with balancing the budget.
  • Serve as Program contact for student-athlete brand building and Name, Image, Likeness and Ideas training and opportunities. In conjunction with FIM and NIL Staff, ensure student-athletes are well-versed in NCAA rules and University Policy pertaining to NIL and actively engage with available department resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree3-4 years of relevant experience assisting at an executive level
Ability to multi-task; detail-oriented; strong interpersonal skills; strong communication skills, both written and verbal; strong technology skills with the ability to quickly learn additional applications, including recruiting software. High-level understanding of demands on student-athletes.
Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, specifically in student-athlete support
Preferred Qualifications:
Division I Athletics experience working with an elite Program
Knowledge of ARMS Software a plus
