UNCLE GS MGMT CORP is Hiring a Customer Service Clerk Near Melville, NY

Our Melville Store is seeking to add a Part-Time Customer Service Clerk to its team! Come join the best gourmet food store around! Uncle Giuseppe's is proud of its gourmet food selections and baked goods. If you love assisting people and have excellent customer service skills, come join our family! Our Customer Service Clerks assist customers by answering customer questions at our service desk and by providing helpful suggestions about our products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Open and maintain customer loyalty accounts by recording account information
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
  • The Customer Service clerk will process customer adjustments according to store policies
  • Recommend potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and assessing customer needs
  • Will answer incoming calls and identify and assess customers' needs 
  • Will build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
  • Will handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits, and follow up to ensure resolution
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies of our store 
  • Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, mail, or social media
  • Greet customers warmly, assist customers with their accounts, orders, refunds, exchanges and questions
  • Process payment transactions
  • Other duties and functions as assigned

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent; any college classes a plus
  • Proven customer support experience
  • Must have excellent customer service skills with a least one year of experience working in a retail customer service role
  • Familiar with CRM systems and practices
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of customers
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
