UNC Health Careers is Hiring a Human Resources Director Near Rocky, NC

Description

Summary:

The Director, Human Resources position reports to the Vice President of Strategy & Communications for UNC Health Nash, leading HR strategies that support the strategic plan and business objectives to enhance organizational effectiveness. Directs a team of leaders in Talent Acquisition, Talent Retention and Talent Development, and other operational areas as assigned. Responsible for UNC Health Nash’s risk and compliance in all areas of federal, state, local laws, and Joint Commission requirements in relation to Human Resources, and in partnership with UNC Health Nash’s Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Requires a thorough knowledge of compensation, benefits and employee relations.
  • Requires experience with legal matters related to human resources.
  • Requires working knowledge of HR Joint Commission Standards for health care facilities as well as other government regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, providers, patients and the public.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment and problem-solving techniques in the decision-making process.
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives, including government regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to provide leadership and management of multiple departments.
  • Demonstrated team building skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, and ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present information to small and, at times, large audiences.
  • Ability to function effectively within an ever-changing environment and to meet deadlines and reprioritize as necessary.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment and a multi-dimensional environment.
  • Creative, flexible, self-motivated, professional must possess sound judgment ability to plan and initiate new activities consistent with achieving service excellence.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

Experience:

  • 4 years’ experience, Human Resources
  • 1 year's experience, Human Resources leadership

Certifications:

· HR specialty certification (PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP) preferred
