SUMMARY

The success-oriented Program Manager will coordinate projects and make sure that the plans for achieving these goals on-time run smoothly and efficiently. This includes, but is not limited to identification, monitoring and control of key programs, managing the interdependencies between projects within each program, as well as tracking the contribution of each project and ensuring the successful outcome to customer requirements. 

This position is in our Saginaw, Michigan facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a good representation, but not meant to be all inclusive:

• Works with sales, product design, and manufacturing engineering in the planning and execution of the program plan.
• Monitor its overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action where necessary.
• Ensure project deliverables are to time, quality, and budget.
• Challenge the status quo.
• Manage dependencies between projects.
• Constantly monitor for gaps in the program and coordinate corrective action.
• Supports sales on internal and external visits as needed.
• Manage program communication internally and externally. 

Internal Relationships:

• Reports to Saginaw, VP of Sales & Marketing
• No Direct Reports
• Interacts with Materials, Planning, Quality, Process Innovation Leader, Sales/Customer Service, EHS, Engineering and Finance functional groups on a variety of Issues.
• Interacts with Corporate professionals to share best practices and collaborate on various initiatives.

External Relationships:

• Interacts with customers as needed.
• Interacts with subcontractors as needed.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • 3 years’ minimum experience with program/project management in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or engineering or equivalent experience required
• Experience with Aerospace and Defense highly desirable
• Excellent verbal, communication, and organization skills
• Computer proficient with experience in MS Project or equivalent
• Ability to thrive in a challenging environment.
• Willingness to “Roll up the sleeves” to achieve the goal whenever necessary.
