RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with the processing and coding for US payables
• Assist with the management of the US AP inbox by responding to internal and external inquiries
• Assist in the filing and preparation of US 1099s
• Processing wire transfer payments through accounts payable as necessary
• Support the maintenance of the general ledger
• Preparation of supporting schedules/workpapers for specified balance sheet accounts
• Prepare and post AP accruals, allocations, quarterly provisions and other ad-hoc reporting as needed.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements
• Review variances with the Financial and Assistant Controllers to ensure accuracy and completion.
• Process Intercompany Transactions
• Prepare and record journal entries
• Liaison with various departments including team members in the Netherlands and US to collaborate and complete tasks
• Assist in process improvement and documenting policies for all areas of the accounting function
• Assist with month end close activities, audit, tax, and treasury requests under the supervision of the Assistant Controller

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE:

• 3-5 years' experience in accounting and month-end close processes.
• Ability to be flexible within role
• A self-starter that can work independently and under pressure to timely complete deliverables.
• Strong communication and ability to work with others within and outside of department
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience with multi-entity environment in multiple functional currencies is preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and inventories preferred
• Ability to multitask and prioritize large volumes of inquiries and requests
• Proficient skills in Excel are essential
• Proactively solve problems

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:

• Use of NetSuite software preferred
• Tech industry experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Avalara, Expensify, Tipalti a
• Public accounting experience
