TheVolunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for all medical andadministrative volunteers for all Venice Family Clinic sites. This position will concentrate on therecruitment, training and management of new volunteers with a special emphasison our Clinic Assistant volunteer program. The Coordinator’s duties include assessing the volunteer needs for alldepartments, orienting and placing volunteers into appropriate roles, andcoordinating training for roles as needed. The Coordinator will assist with the ongoing management of the volunteerprogram through a web-based database management software. The Coordinator willalso assist with recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers for theClinic’s major fundraising events throughout the year. The position will reportto the Volunteer Services Manager.

Job Qualifications:

College degree or equivalent experience in volunteer management, human resources, or nonprofitmanagement.REQUIRED

Able to read, write and speak Spanish.PREFERRED 

Strong organizational,initiative taking and problem solving skills.REQUIRED
SupervisoryExperience.REQUIRED
Experienceworking in an administrative support or executive assisting capacity. REQUIRED

Ability to compose various businesscorrespondence including special reports. REQUIRED

Knowledge ofMicrosoft Office Applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher.REQUIRED

Knowledgeof using the Internet as a research tool. REQUIRED

Experience with Volgistics, Raisers Edge, orother database software.PREFERRED

Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and complete assignments on a timely basis.
Ability to work with frequent interruptions.  REQUIREDExcellent communication skills and comfortable speaking in public. REQUIREDExcellent writing skills.
