Responsibilities: 

Operational and Financial Management:

• Oversee the overall operations of the optometry clinic, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and adherence to quality standards. This includes proper operations and participation in all clinic roles, working across company departments within our network of practices, and supporting staff in training and developmental areas.
• Implement operational policies and procedures to optimize workflow and enhance patient care delivery.
• Monitor and manage clinic budgets, expenses, and revenue streams.
• Implement strategies to enhance financial performance and ensure the clinic operates within budgetary guidelines.
• Implement and enforce quality assurance measures to guarantee the highest standards of patient care.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standard operating procedures.
• Implement and support internally supported, relevant systems and/or technology to enhance clinic efficiency.
• Participate in ongoing training opportunities to enhance leadership and management skills.

Team Leadership: 

• Recruit, train, and supervise clinic staff, including optometrists, opticians, optometric technicians, and reception staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development opportunities for team members.
• Collaborate with the team to create a patient-first environment focused on exceptional service and care.
• Address patient concerns promptly and continuously work to improve the patient experience.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork among all clinic staff.

• Collaborate with optometrists, opticians, optometric technicians, and reception staff to ensure streamlined patient care processes.

Qualifications and Experience: 

• Prior experience in an optometry or healthcare clinic setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, management, and team-building skills.
• Strong analytical and computer skills.
• Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Organizational skills.
• Comprehension of patient-facing vision and medical insurance benefits.
• Office 365 experience
• Electronic Health Records and Practice Management software experience preferred, but not required.
