Turn2Partners is Hiring a Project Manager Near Washington, DC

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee small-scale construction projects with budgets around $5 million. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion. They will work closely with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained before the start of construction.
  • Budget Management:
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses, identifying and addressing any potential cost overruns.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Track project expenses and provide regular budget updates to stakeholders.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to the project timeline and budget.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Address any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process promptly and effectively.
  • Quality Control:
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure that construction work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work sites to identify any defects or deficiencies and take corrective action as needed.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including daily progress reports and inspection records.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and support staff, to achieve project objectives.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring that each team member understands their role and expectations.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a track record of successfully delivering small-scale projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
