Description Front Desk Support Staff The Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District (THPRD) is seeking highly organized individuals to join our team as Front Desk Support staff. The ideal candidates will be dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service at multiple THPRD facilities. As Front Desk Support staff, you will serve as the initial point of contact for clerical and customer support, with a primary goal of creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patrons.
The district also offers a bilingual pay incentive to staff who regularly utilize their bilingual or multilingual skills! Though this is an entry-level position, prior experience in providing administrative and clerical support is preferred. Successful candidates will demonstrate knowledge of office management principles, the ability to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, and a basic understanding of Office 365 platforms including: Word, Excel, Publisher, and Teams.
Scheduling:
Staff are typically scheduled between 2 to 29 hours per week. Part-time employees have variable hours and work less than 1,560 hours annually. Our centers operate on unique schedules, resulting in variations in their typical hours of operation. For your reference, the centers are generally open during the following times:
Monday - Friday: 5:30 am - 10:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 am - 8:00 pm

Duties:
Key responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to:
- Answering multi-line telephone systems and directing calls to appropriate personnel while accurately taking messages.
- Greeting the public and providing information and assistance regarding schedules, program descriptions, and general inquiries over the phone and in person.
- Providing general clerical support, including preparing and formatting forms, letters, and reports based on rough drafts or detailed instructions.
- Assisting the public with program enrollment by registering participants, collecting payments, and related registration procedures.
- Creating a positive customer experience through professional and courteous behavior.
- Assisting in light daily cleaning to ensure the health and safety of all participants and staff.
