Please review the following job description:

Provides oversight for projects and/or segments of large programs for various lines of business. Breadth of responsibility includes financial and business project requirements as well as the day-to-day management of teammates. Manages a multi-disciplinary team that includes business analysts, project managers, architects, and/or developers. Understands and translates business needs into project and team objectives. Is responsible for responsible for supporting data protection across the enterprise, enabling business growth while ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory expectations. The position partners with various business, cyber security, risk, and technology stakeholders to influence and drive adoption of related Enterprise Data Management and Data Protection strategies, policies, standards and control frameworks. The role evaluates established and emerging data classification and security practices and technologies to drive the team's direction, including implementing innovative processes and solutions to provide competitive advantage while meeting rigorous control and oversight mandates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 
1. Partners with business leaders in understanding IT processes and restrictions.
2. Monitors progress of the team relative to established objectives and priorities. Manages performance and provides coaching as needed. Ensures that projects are delivered according to Enterprise Technology policies and procedures.
3. Works closely with senior leaders within Enterprise Technology and in the assigned line of business. Aligns appropriate support teams to ensure performance by demanding a strict performance-based measurement process for teammates.
4. Organizes, plans, and manages projects. Partners with others within technology and the business on the execution of delivery projects from conception through implementation. Makes judgments about priorities and the team's approach to work based on an understanding of how the team contributes to the achievement of broader objectives.
5. Adapts plans to meet service and/or operational challenges. Identifies and resolves technical, operational, risk management, and organizational challenges. Has full management responsibilities for teammates: hiring, disciplinary, coaching, terminating, performance reviews.
6. Supports and contributes to the development, implementation, socialization, and maintenance of complex data security governance elements (e.g., policy, standard, target operating model, business processes, procedures, and business continuity plans) that define data security requirements.

7. Supports and contributes to the development, implementation, execution, and enhancement of governance and monitoring processes as required per internal/external standards and regulations (e.g.: FFIEC, GDPR, NYDFS, NIST, etc).
8. Supports and contributes to the execution of Data Protection Risk & Controls Self Assessments (RCSA) and the development of Process Risk & Controls Inventories (PRCI).

9. Contributes to the optimization, execution, and maintenance of a data security program elements, especially those involving business processes, repeatable methods, automation, and measurements needed for a viable risk-based data security program (e.g., KRI/KPI metrics).
10. Supports and contributes to the monitoring of risk and associated performance indicators (KRI/KPI) and conducting escalation activities for noncompliance with data protection policies, standards, and procedures to various levels of leadership.

11. Responds both verbally, and in writing, to complex inquiries and exams from both internal control partners (e.g., legal, compliance, audit, risk) and external partners (e.g., regulators, external auditors, third parties). This also includes prior experience in optimization and execution methods to improve future responses to such inquiries, as well as prior experience providing peer-review of such responses.
12. Supports and contributes to the management and tracking of internal and external issues or areas of concerns related to the Data Protection program (e.g., audit responses, escalations tracking, etc.)

13. Supports and contributes with business leaders to the creation and management of content on the Enterprise-wide knowledge and collaboration workspace specifically for the Data Protection program.
14. Identifies data protection issues and partner with technology, risk, cybersecurity, and business partners to triage, track, communicate, mitigate and remediate the issues to closure.

15. Monitors progress of the team relative to established objectives and priorities. Manages performance and provides coaching as needed. Ensures that projects are delivered according to Enterprise Technology policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree and ten years of experience managing complex IT projects or equivalent education and related training or experience
2. Demonstrated experience in project management/delivery teams
3. Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products, processes, or services
4. Knowledge of technology structures that incorporate variable staffing evolving platforms, cost and value arbitrage value propositions. Knowledge of business process reengineering and operations
5. Broad view of how industry and technology changes impact technology and client experience through digital channels. Strong business acumen and domain expertise in the assigned portfolio. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure
6. Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities. Ability to influence and negotiate to enable agreement on scope, cost, and schedules
7. Ability to manage a team, including identifying and recruiting talent, managing performance, and making decisions about resource allocation
8. Functional and technical knowledge of Data, Analytics and Client data capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Banking or financial services experience
2. Functional and technical knowledge of data scanning capabilities such as PKware
3. Experience with computer languages (SQL Query, Python, etc.) and connectivity to metadata platforms such as Alation4. Vast working knowledge of Business Process Engineering and Management

5. Experience with KRI/KPI creation, socialization and reporting
