True Sports Physical Therapy is Hiring a Human Resource Specialist - Part Time (25 hrs/week) Near Columbia, MD

Location: In office, from various clinic locations
Hours: Part-time – 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday 10am – 3pm

We’re looking for an experienced Human Resources specialist to join our growing physical therapy practice and support our talented team. Flex your HR muscles in our Physical Therapy practice by coordinating a variety of functional areas including payroll processing, benefits administration, recruiting and onboarding, training and performance management, employee relations, and policy and procedure administration. True Sports is in the business of developing strong, powerful athletes from junior league to professional. We are constantly seeking new perspectives and types of experience to add to our staff in order to offer our clients access to the best strength coaching and fitness training possible.
We seek out educated, experienced professionals who can teach our athletes injury prevention while guiding them along their fitness journey towards achieving their personal goals and becoming well-rounded athletes. We currently operate thirteen locations in MD and PA and we’re growing!

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for the company, responding to and resolving HR-related inquiries, and any issues that may arise
  • Process bi-weekly payroll in ADP WorkForce Now
  • Process bi-weekly IRA deposits
  • Administer benefit plans, including annual open enrollment coordination and liaising with benefits broker as needed
  • Administer compensation plan
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment processes through ADP Workforce Now, including creating job descriptions, posting positions, sourcing, screening, and interview scheduling
  • Facilitate the employee onboarding process, including creating offer letters, ensuring new hire paperwork is complete, and conducting new hire orientation
  • Assist with organizing training & development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment and labor regulations, keeping up to date with relevant changes and liaising with leadership as needed
  • Drive the development, implementation, and interpretation of human resources policies and procedures, updating the employee handbook as needed
  • Assist company leaders with the performance management cycle, including organization of quarterly and annual employee performance reviews in ADP Workforce Now
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Gather and analyze HR metrics data such as time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form, ensuring confidentiality
  • Contribute to other HR related duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; HR certification (SHRM, HRCI) a plus
  • At least 3 years of experience as an HR Specialist, Generalist or Administrator, including experience interpreting and updating HR policies and procedures, processing payroll, and executing full-cycle recruitment
  • Sound knowledge of federal, state, and local employment/labor laws
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now required; Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to facilitate collaboration across departments/locations and within the overall organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills with the ability to confidently drive discussions and respond to difficult situations
  • Ability to problem solve through critical thinking, making informed decisions and adapting the approach as needed
  • A team player with a strong sense of urgency in driving projects to completion and be motivated to achieve outcomes and results
