Job Title: Service Technician for Countertop Fabricator

Job Overview: As a Service Technician for a countertop fabricator, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of countertop installations at client sites. You will diagnose and resolve technical issues, provide maintenance services, and offer exceptional customer support. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance: Install countertops at client locations according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and precision. Perform routine maintenance and repairs as needed to ensure optimal functionality and appearance.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose technical issues related to countertops, such as defects, damages, or functionality problems. Develop effective solutions and implement repairs to address these issues promptly.
• Customer Service: Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner. Address client concerns and inquiries regarding countertop installations, maintenance, and functionality. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and effective solutions to their needs.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of countertop installations to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications. Identify any deviations or deficiencies and take corrective actions to rectify them, ensuring that the finished product meets or exceeds expectations.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including installation details, maintenance tasks, and repairs performed.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Follow proper procedures for handling tools, equipment, and materials, and prioritize safety in all aspects of your work.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, including sales representatives, project managers, and other technicians, to coordinate installation schedules, share expertise, and address customer needs effectively. Foster a positive and supportive team environment conducive to achieving company goals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in relevant field preferred.
• Proven experience in countertop installation, maintenance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of countertop materials, fabrication techniques, and installation methods.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, including countertops and equipment, as needed.
• Stamina to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods during installation and maintenance activities.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for working with tools and equipment.
• Flexibility to work in various environments, including client homes and construction sites.

Working Conditions:

• This role primarily involves on-site work at client locations, which may include residential and commercial properties.
• Exposure to dust, noise, and other typical construction-related conditions may occur.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
