This is a hands-on, full development lifecycle role which provides an opportunity to tackle sophisticated business, logic, data and technical challenges. In this role, you will design, develop, modify, adapt and implement short- and long-term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems, databases and applications infrastructure. You will review and interpret system requirements and business processes. You will code, tests, debug and implement software solutions. Requires working and conceptual knowledge in your own job discipline Performs a range of assignments related to a job discipline Accountable for your work and for effective coordination of process and information with others Works independently, within guidelines and policies for ongoing work; may receive general mentorship on new assignments of the software development lifecycle Role summary and job responsibilities Contributes to all parts of the SDLC, e.g., design, development, and testing Develops technical solutions following standard methodologies with some guidance from senior engineers Practices automated testing and tests your work in an automated and repeatable way Identifies and remediates technical debt Works with existing data models and schemas and suggests changes and improvements where necessary Demonstrates strong logic and reasoning capabilities Delivers on well-specified work items Uses questions and proposals to clarify requirements when unclear Requirements: BS or MS degree (or equivalent) and 8 years of progressive professional experience 8 years of experience in a large Data Warehouse environment with any of the ETL tools like Snaplogic , Informatica Power Center, IICS, etc. Experience in working with data transformation mechanisms using various snaps provided by Snaplogic and experience working complex transformations including update strategies, routers, normalizers, utilizing push down optimization, mapplets and worklets etc. Expert in SQL writing/tuning, stored procedures Strong understanding of Data Warehouse/MDM concepts (ETL, Star Schema, slowly changing dimensions). Experience with Data Vault is preferred Experience with scheduling tools such as Autosys, TIDAL etc Experience with Oracle or postgres. Experience with Snowflake DB is preferred. Experience in using AWS services like S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS preferred. Experience processing various file types (CSV, Fixed Width, JSON, XML) Experience in migrating data from legacy systems into target state systems Experience writing shell scripts in Linux/Unix Experience in Python scripting preferred. Additionally, experience in other open-source scripting strongly desired. Ability to translate complex data sets and concepts into usable reports, charts, and presentations Understanding of Data Management fundamentals, including metadata, data quality, and data governance Familiarity with iterative development methodologies (agile) Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills Ability to set priorities and objectives, then plan and organize the team in order to meet them Able to work independently, plan workloads and deliver on commitments Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities -- Work Flexibility This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.
