Valmet Control Performance Solutions is looking for a software engineer with experience in process control related modeling, statistical methods, and mathematics. This position is for a full stack Windows developer with C experience. Experience developing applications that involve linear algebra, and differential equations is required.
In this role you will:
- Design, develop, and implement new features and functions for our PlantTriage and PID loop tuning products.
- Review product functional specifications and make suggestions for improvement.
- Extend and maintain existing n-tier code for browser-based products.
- Write code for the core retrieval engine based on .NET technologies.
- Assists with technical support in resolving customer product issues.
- Document code and author help files for end users.
- Write testing requirements.
- Consult with field engineers to problem-solve software issues and suggest solutions.
- Participate in design reviews, project planning and scheduling.
- Consults with other developers to develop an integrated and efficient design.
- Maintain good quality code through component testing and response to integration testing.
- Travel (international) may be necessary.
Education/Experience Well qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or the Sciences with a minimum of 4 years experience in software development. Working knowledge of programming technologies and of working in a distributed team environment would also be a plus.
Skills and abilities - 4 years development experience including 2 years in C .
- Experience with ASP.NET, C#.NET, VB.NET, JavaScript, Ajax.
- Experience with .NET, data base access
- Experience with n-tier architecture
