Tripoint Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer with to join our team supporting a contract with a federal customer.

The Service Desk is open from 7:00am to 7:00pm Monday through Friday, with on call support on weekends and federal holidays.

Location: Customer site in Washington, DC

The successful candidate will be accountable to:

• Execute data center migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
• Administer M365 environments, with a focus on Azure and Intune.
• Develop and maintain advanced PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and improve system efficiency.
• Provide training and mentorship to other engineers, enhancing team skills and knowledge.
• Create comprehensive documentation and maintain a detailed knowledge base for IT systems and processes.
• Responsible for the support and sustainment of enterprise systems (1000 end-users).
• Utilize System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) for monitoring enterprise networks.
• Install, configure, and manage applications on the network.
• Ensure compliance with organization's policies for group and user account management.
• Conduct system maintenance, troubleshoot errors, and document solutions.
• Implement system or software upgrades and patches.
• Manage system backups and provide technical support to users and IT team.
• Analyze support tickets for trends and implement strategies to reduce escalation/volume.
• Research and implement solutions to enhance the performance of enterprise systems.
• Develop and execute automated processes for system management.

Experience, Education & Training:

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field
• 8 years of Windows systems engineering experience
• Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure systems and services (networking fundamentals, physical and web servers, storage solutions, consoles, Active Directory, workstations, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of monitoring best practices and tools to include MECM and SCOM
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to effectively communicate complex information
• Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Azure Administrator certification
