The Production Manager reports to the Operation Manager and is responsible to manage, coordinate, schedule, and distribute work appropriately and efficiently. This person manages all the processing. He/she is the liaison between the sales department and the production department.
The Production Manager is accountable and responsible for the security of the assets in the office and warehouse, and is responsible for the regular audit and inventory of materials. The Production Manager is responsible for local Quality Assurance activities, logistics, procurement of Operating Supplies, and training of employees.
Responsibilities:
• Inform the production planning department, relevant management, and other stakeholders of delays.
• Facilitates maintenance and repairs to equipment.
• Works with Operations Manager and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reduction.

• Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
• Identifies, investigates, and resolves delays in shift operations, ensuring shipping deadlines are met.
• Productivity – Ensures a productive workforce. Uses relevant and consistent metrics to measure (i.e. KPI’s, pick count, OT reports, production reports, etc.) as designed and directed by the GM.
• P&L – Manager is responsible for the profitability of the processing department and the productive and safe use of the branch assets.
• Inventory – Must manage total processing inventory under management within the limits established by the General Manager consistent with industry lead times and anticipated customer demand. Uses appropriate tools to forecast inventory levels to avoid surprises and/or warns management in advance of problems. The manager will be responsible for coordination of purchasing between branch and regional buyers.
• Company interest over branch interest - When making decisions, chooses what is in the best interest of the company ahead of what is best for the branch.
