About the position...

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources team related to recruitment, reviews, reporting, data collection, and onboarding. This individual will be assisting with general employee questions, events, and special projects.

  • Assists the Recruiter with recruitment, new hire on-boarding, and retention activities.
  • Manages seasonal employment activities and coordinates with managers.
  • Maintains required certifications, reminds employees of expiration, provides information to renew, tracks renewals, and follows-up with non-compliant employees.
  • Assists the Human Resources/Payroll Specialist with administering benefit programs including enrollments and terminations in carrier sites.
  • Assists the Recruiter & HR/Payroll Specialist with the review and orientation checklist process.
  • Assists in managing and developing employee recognition programs.
  • Acts as a back-up for the bi-weekly payroll process.
  • Maintains and ensures the accuracy of information stored in the HRIS database, insurance carrier sites, and hard copy files. Maintains files in accordance with current regulations.
  • Develops and maintains reports in the HRIS report writer and Excel for accounting, management, and special projects.
  • Assists employees in the use of the HRIS and resolves any issues.
  • Acts as a first point of contact for HR by addressing minor employee issues and directing employees to the appropriate HR representative.
  • Assists with planning and executing company events and trainings for employees.
  • Assists the HR Director with the development of communications to employees, policy updates, report development, and other administrative tasks and projects.
