Tri-County Animal Rescue is Hiring a Veterinarian Near Boca Raton, FL

About us

Tri County Humane Society is in Boca Raton, FL. Since 1996 we have rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed over 89,000 animals. We are looking to hire a team player who excels in surgery for our shelter animals and seeing clients in our Lois Pope Pet Clinic.

Overview:

Tri-County Animal rescue is a 100% no kill animal shelter in Boca Raton, FL. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. As a Veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to not only our shelter animals but community clients. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners.

Responsibilities:

- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests on animals

- Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and diseases in animals

- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed

- Perform surgical procedures as required

- Provide guidance and education to pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition

- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to ensure the well-being of animals

- Stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine

Qualifications:

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school

- Valid license to practice veterinary medicine

- Strong knowledge of animal physiology, care, and husbandry

- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
