Position: Groundskeeper/Maintenance

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Groundskeeper. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our shelter grounds. As a Groundskeeper, you will contribute to creating a welcoming and safe space for both animals and visitors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of outdoor areas, including animal play yards and walking paths.
• Monitor and address any safety hazards on the premises.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of outdoor events and activities
• Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the overall appearance of the shelter.
• Compliance: Adhere strictly to all Tri-County's operational policies and procedures.
• Flexible Working Hours: Ability to work varied hours, including mornings, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Requirements and Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscaping preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and outdoor work.
• Passion for animal welfare and a positive attitude.

Experience:

• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, but we are open to training the right individual who exhibits dedication, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for animals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
