Tri City Glass & Door is Hiring a Warehouse Operations Associate Near Green, WI
- Required to wear and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per Tri City Glass & Door and contractor policies.
- Check-in all shipments on a day-to-day basis. Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. (tag & bin all materials & put away accordingly)
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials. Deliver or route materials to internal departments.
- Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
- Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damage, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
- Maintain tidy warehouse & material aisles clear of inventory & waste. Keep inside and outside of the warehouse and throughout the building clean and safe.
- Store empty skids outside until picked up except 8-foot skids we are to keep up to 6 in a pallet rack
- Wash and clean the company’s vehicles.
- Assisting with parts in the fabrication shop, including cutting, grinding, and drilling.
- Assist and act as the backup support to the Shipping/Receiving department.
- Building and ground maintenance.
- Light maintenance and building repairs.
- Schedule contractors as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to include but not limited to:
- Help customers with customer pick-ups or drop offs.
- Help load & unload transfer truck.
- Help load & unload install truck.
- Help load & unload box/delivery truck.
- When loading any trucks check and initial correct material is being loaded.
- When loading trucks check for quality of materials.
- Perform inventory counts for steel, wood products, glass, lite kits & any material asked.
- Coordinate hollow metal stop work order tickets, to-do’s and pulling/creating of required labels.
- Double check all orders that are pulled and completed in the hollow metal shop.
- Back up to truck maintenance, scheduling and repairs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain a valid Driver’s license to operate the company’s vehicle.
- Ability to regularly lift and /or carry more than 75 lbs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing and pulling.
- Previous experience with shipping & receiving or parts, a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Forklift certification. (Required- will train).
