Quality Control and Warehouse Associate – Full Time

Promotional Designs Inc is searching for a full-time Quality Control and Warehouse Associate. This position requires a self-motivated individual willing to work across multiple teams including screen printing, finishing, receiving, and shipping. The successful candidate will have the ability to be trained in multiple areas, but they will need the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize their work under general guidance to complete tasks in a timely manner. This position will be one of the final steps in product preparation for customers, so attention to details is critical. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required in addition to a desire for continuous improvement and quality workmanship to meet our customers’ increasing demands.

Primary Duties:

• The successful candidate must be willing to multi-task and learn new skills. This position will include aspects of receiving, picking, packing, and quality control.
• Counting accuracy and basic math skills are a must. Candidate must be able to count out inventory units and compare them to ensure accuracy.
• Ability to fold garments to prepare to ship to customers. This could include folding individually, folding in dozens for larger orders, or folding and poly-bagging.
• Additional finishing tasks may include trimming the backing off embroidered garments as part of the preparation process to get garments ready to ship to customers.
• Receiving functions will include receiving and verifying ordered vs. shipped goods in to push out to the production floor. Candidates will need to have attention to detail as well as the ability to see colors to confirm correct items have been sent by suppliers.
• Picking functions will include picking E-Commerce orders from the warehouse based on pick slips.
• This position will assist in conducting physical inventory counts.
• Complies with federal (OSHA), state, and local warehousing, material handling requirements. Training and documentation will be provided as necessary.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to problem-solve and follow standard operating procedures.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Requires basic mathematical skills that include the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, measure, and compute basic equations.
• Basic computer skills required. Must be able to open and read Excel or Word documents. Will need to be able to send and receive e-mails through Outlook.
• Some sewing experienced preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to handle repetitive motion activities.
• Experience in shipping or receiving functions a plus.
