Job Description

As Travelstride’s Content Marketing Manager, your primary goal will be to drive relevant traffic to Travelstride via organic search engines with the creation of targeted, engaging content. You will do this by cultivating and growing Travelstride’s travel writing contributor community.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Produce & source blog content to drive user engagement and SEO-related user growth.
  • Build a writing community - recruiting, onboarding, engaging a writer community to learn, have fun, and write better content for Travelstride and elsewhere
  • Manage our email marketing, including planning and writing newsletters and triggered campaigns.
  • Use data analytics and current digital marketing strategies to improve KPIs and our overall user experience.
  • Write strategic SEO content yourself.
  • Write some strategic branding content - eg. for our homepage, blog, or select emails
  • Leverage Travelstride’s data entry team to improve and create content for our tour operator partners trips and profiles.

We’re looking for someone who can balance managing a decentralized team while producing content, keeping big picture strategy and the finer points of content marketing & SEO in mind.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English
  • Well-traveled, preferably with travel industry experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing-related field preferred
  • Strong familiarity with Google docs, Google sheets, Hubspot, and Mailchimp
  • The ability to create written content of the highest quality
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in the following areas:
    • Managing an email marketing campaign
    • Producing and managing blog content

Work Environment

  • Full-time role with flexible work schedule
  • Work from home (company offices located in Austin, Texas)
  • Ability to work from abroad if located in Latin America, Europe, or Africa, but must be willing to join calls as late as 12 PM U.S. Central time on as-needed basis
  • English-speaking team
