TransCore is Hiring a Project Manager I Near Albuquerque, NM
TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full time Project Manager I to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Job Summary: The Project Manager I coordinates all aspects of the company’s project(s) from initiation through delivery. Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project (i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints). Coordinates project delivery needs regarding staff management, project documentation, equipment specification / procurement, deployment / integration activities, customer / client relations, and project closeout.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manages project teams – coordinates activities, tracks performance, provides feedback, & motivates staff.
- Identifies project staffing needs and assists in the formation of effective project teams.
- Identifies and procures resources necessary to complete projects.
- Prepares, implements, & monitors schedule and cost estimates.
- Manages and administers relevant subcontract agreements.
- Coordinates company response to RFP or customer request for quotation.
- Manages project execution so that:
o Project deliverables are of a high quality and meet the expectations of the stakeholders.
o Projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in the most efficient manner possible.
o Project deliverables are deployed and turned over to the organization smoothly and efficiently.
o TransCore policies, standards and best practices are adhered to. - Reports project status to management.
- Completes and manages organization of project documentation.
- Prepares project plans that guide project execution to a successful conclusion.
- Proactively detects and evaluates issues/risks.
- Communicates project information including approach, progress, forecasts, and issues to stakeholders.
- Provides guidance to projects on best practices and standards to utilize.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years related project management experience.
- Must have experience with database software/database design including report generation.
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask
- Must have excellent communication/customer service skills
- Experience with MS Office Software
Desired Skills:
- Troubleshooting, debugging and testing
- Web-based development and programming language
- Systems/Software support and hardware interfacing skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree
