Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Clinic Manager to join our growing clinical team. The Assistant Nursing Manager will support the subspecialty physician group and provide supervisory oversight to a clinical support team in the delivery of quality healthcare and treatment of rare and orphan diseases.

Essential Functions:

  • Review provider schedules and conduct pre-visit planning to anticipate patient and provider needs.
  • Coordinate logistics and improve patient cycle times.
  • Practice the principles and procedures for providing patient services. This includes patient needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in daily team huddles to enhance care coordination, ensure pertinent items are available to provider, improve patient and staff experience, and maximize efficiency.
  • Assists providers in examination/procedure rooms as needed.
  • Adheres to all safety standards, including but not limited to, equipment maintenance, infection control, universal precautions and use of personal protective equipment as needed for all patient care procedures.
  • Notify Clinic Manager and scheduling provider of any inconsistencies.
  • Communicate effectively to patients, families, visitors, and leadership.
  • Look for areas of impact that affect clinical operations (Food Lab, Diagnostic Lab, Data Team, etc.) and communicate these to leadership.
  • Monitor and supervise all team members to enforce effective workflows and gaps/inefficiencies in workflows or when safety concerns are identified.
  • Practice the principles and procedures of clinical management including the ability to set and meet goals, understand healthcare responsibility, and personnel supervision Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Interpret, apply and explain applicable rules and regulations to staff members including learning and following operating procedures.
  • Analyze and assess training and development needs.
  • Exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex and confidential personnel issues and employee situations.
  • Initiate actions and make decisions within established precedents or well-defined policy with regular supervisory direction and review.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State of California.
  • Supervisor level experience (at least 2 years preferred).
  • Applicable procedure training.
  • Medical Assistant experience (at least 2 years preferred).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • EMR experience.
  • Team mentality and positive working attitude.
  • Allergy/Immunology or Pediatric Pulmonary experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations including the requirements of the HIPAA and OSHA and applicable state rules and regulations pertinent to medical practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
