Primary Purpose: Benefits Sales Production

Essential Responsibilities:

• Generate new sales through needs-based analysis and consultative approach to determine prospective clients’ initiatives relative to their employee benefit plans
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, regulations & benefit administration technology
• Build and maintain ongoing relationships with prospective clients, current clients, centers of influence, internal referral partners, and sales operations
• Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients.
• Cultivate multiple referral sources internally and externally
• Deliver excellent customer service
• Obey all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)

Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:

• Demonstrates success in sales and relationship management. Formal sales experience.
• Experience and knowledge of the marketplace
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. (written and verbal)
• Responsive engagement with clients, carrier representatives, Towne Benefits, Towne Insurance and TowneBank team members
• Active Virginia Life and Health License

Desired Skills:

• College degree preferred
